How to earn Community Credits

Write insightful reviews:

Why credits for reviews?

By sharing your views on a particular movie/restaurant/cafe/hotel, you would be doing a great service to fellow OnYoMo users in helping them make better decisions. And thus the small token of appreciation for your effort.

How many credits for reviews?

5 Credits + Number of "Thumbs Ups" your review garners. Eg, if your review is found useful (Thumbs Up) by 10 people, then you get 5 + 10 = 15 Community Credits.

Will I get credits for bad reviews?

Most likely Not.OnYoMo algorithms validate your reviews and eliminate any junk reviews. Further, if your review is inaccurate or inappropriate, others in the community could mark your review to Report Abuse. When that happens, your review is inspected for validity and eliminated if found invalid. Abusive reviews might cause termination of your account. If your account in terminated, your hard earned Credits will lapse too.

Invite friends:

Why credits for invitations?

By urging your friends etc to become a part of OnYoMo, you'd be doing them a great service by enriching their city experience. You would also be helping fellow OnYoMo users by bringing for them more quality sources of information - your friends etc. And thus the small token of appreciation for your effort.

How many credits for invitations?

25 Credits for every member that you invite and that registers.

Voting on other users' Reviews:

Why credits for votes?

By expressing your approval/disapproval of other users' reviews, you'd be helping fellow users in determining the quality of review, and helping them make better decisions. And thus the small token of appreciation for your effort.

How many credits for vote?

1 Credit for every vote to the voter and 1 Credit to the reviewer for a positive (Thumbs up) vote.

Voting on Polls:

Why credits for voting on polls?

Here, you can vote on various general or city-related issues. This we feel is a great way to bring out general opinion on various issues on a City platform. Moreover, each time you vote, you are awarded two points. Polls are accessible from our Homepage at www.onyomo.com

Reporting Abuse:

Why credits for reporting abuse?

By flagging malicious content from another user as Abusive, you'd be helping others in the community by saving them from wrong or abusive content.
