Hidden away down a narrow passage, this renowned institution has been trading since 1913 and still serves the best grilled meat in town. The restaurant specialises in intricate cuisine useing lots of milk, cream, spices, dried fruit and nuts. The original Old Delhi restaurant in Jama Masjid, has practically reached international fame, regaled as the Mecca for authentic Mughlai cuisine, Karim's is most recommended for its Burra Kebabs, Kormas and Stews and brain curry, should you be brave enough to try it. Finish off with a creamy Firni, and you'll probably be stuffed for a week. Be warned, everything is coated with a thick layer of oil-so make sure you don't eat much before your visit. Vegetarians - don't even bother, this is strictly carnivore country!
