Accused of cheating and desperate to prove his innocence, an eighteen-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai reflects back on his tumultuous life while competing to win 20 million rupees on India's 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' in Danny Boyle's inspirational drama. Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) may not have a penny to his name, but that could all change in a matter of hours. He's one question away from taking the top prize on India's most popular television game show, but as with everything else in Jamal's life, it isn't going to be easy.
Hey this movie is really cool. But try watching the movie with a different point of view i mean the direction, the camera angles all is really awesome, but the only thing i want to say is why cant a Indian director do something like that when we are capable of such things.....just thinkk differently.
Slumdog Millionaire, with golden globe awards is a movie based on life and hope of the average man specially in India. It depicts the real situation in Mumbais slum. The movie is do desi or Indian as it touches every aspect of the poor people residing in India, the poverty, child exploitation, communal riots, peoples interest in cricket and bollywood, peoples sacrifices for their loved ones etc etc. The movie does not depict India in any wrong manner. Danny Boyles work is excellent. Music bt A.R.Rehman is awesome. Each actor has done his job well. Of the 10 Oscar nominations, i am sure Slumdog Millionaire would bag at least half a dozen. Keeping my fingers crossed.
a very nice and tightly bind story make this movie a greate success..... DONT MISS IT..... hindi version have some lipsing problem as its originally recorded in english.... so i suggest to watch english print....
