New York is a contemporary story of friendship set against the larger than life backdrop of a city often described as the centre of the world. Omar (Neil Nitin Mukesh) has gone abroad for the first time in his life and soon enough he begins to see and love America through the eyes of his American friends – Sam (John Abraham) and Maya (Katrina Kaif). It is the story of these three friends discovering a new world together. But one day the world around them changed. For most of us, larger events in the world are just headlines in the newspapers but these events can change our lives... forever. New York is one such story of 3 young friends whose beautiful lives are turned upside down by larger events beyond their control. At this point enters Agent Roshan (Irrfan), an FBI undercover agent who sets the ball rolling for a series of tumultuous events that turn the lives of these friends into a dangerous and thrilling roller coaster ride.

as you all know katrina and john are da worst actor yet most attractive peoples in bollywood and they do live up to that expectation in New York....both acted pathetically but still good to watch them.... Neil nitin and irfann was good.... BUT main problem is not acting or cinematography but story and direction... i have never expected from kabir khar who is such a good director as we saw him in Kabul Express but this time he failed completely.... STORY was obvious Concept was old i.e. justification of terrorism and its counter attack... I am sure Taliban is surely working in favor of film industry haha.. There are some parts in the movie which seem unrealistic, on a concept like terrorism we expect thing should be realistic.... I didn't understand the business of john and how he is able to arrange lots of money to do things like this there seems no funding mechanism or they omitted it the brown bread thing they showed earlier but then its gone no where in the movie..... Neil attraction towards katrina was also now directed nicely....... i am confused whether she knows neil is attracted to him or not.... BUT one thing i will definitely applaud to is that is the fittest end for the movie bcoz if they let katrina live then the thing will be awkward coz its like neil killed his husband.... ONE more thing in the end that baseball match and what irfan khan says in the end thats pretty good and true to some extent...
Recommendations:you can watch it but dont expect much...
